Bio/Background of the Speakers:

ConnOTA community of practice members are OT practitioners who are actively working in home care, who have worked in home care, or are seeking to work in home care.  Members bring their expertise and skillset as well as questions and a strong desire to use social learning theory to learn, share, and pool knowledge.

Learning Objectives Attendees Should Achieve:

This hour-long session will allow participants an opportunity to share their joys and concerns about our profession. It will be an “open mike” forum where any participant can share a story or anecdotal event concerning their OT experience or concerns. We can discuss the “great resignation”, burnout, or moral injury that has impacted our profession. We will incorporate therapeutic use of self as appropriate. Summary of Event: 

1. We will start with an informal check-in and welcome new members

2. Please see above objectives as we are going to have an open forum for this session

3. We will continue to plan our topics and schedule every three weeks.
