Bio/Background of the Speakers:

ConnOTA community of practice members are OT practitioners who are actively working in home care, who have worked in home care, or are seeking to work in home care.  Members bring their expertise and skillset as well as questions and a strong desire to use social learning theory to learn, share, and pool knowledge.

Learning Objectives Attendees Should Achieve:

This hour-long presentation and discussion will allow participants to:

1.      Ways to document skill for a treatment session.

2.      Determine when a patient is appropriate for maintenance therapy.

3.      Know key phases that can expedite documentation

4.      Understand WHEW: An Efficient and Effective Note-Writing Technique  

5.      Pool…those resources and knowledge and make them easily available to other CoP members

Summary of Event: 

1. We will start with an informal check-in and welcome new members

2. Members will share their struggles and effective strategies for documentation.

3. We will continue to plan our topics and schedule every three weeks.
