Summary of Event: Since 2018, this Community of Practice (CoP) has brought together Connecticut school occupational therapy practitioners to focus on best practices, adapt to the evolving educational landscape, and meet the diverse needs of all students. Through collaborative discussions and reflective practice, participants actively engage in learning, knowledge-sharing, and resource exchange to advance occupational therapy in schools. While practitioners are encouraged to attend all sessions, they are welcome to participate in as many events as they choose.
This event is sponsored by the Connecticut State Department of Education and RESC alliance.
ConnOTA is supporting this event by overseeing the event and awarding CEUs for registered participants.
Learning Objectives Attendees Should Achieve: This hour-long professional development opportunity will allow community members to: 1. Increase their knowledge of national and state resources and activities to support school practice. 2. Create a shared understanding of best practices in implementing services in school practice. 3. Identify evaluations, interventions, and meaningful outcomes that align with educationally relevant services, expand our full scope of practice in schools, and meet the needs of all students.
