Frequently Asked Questions

How do I join ConnOTA?

To become a member, you may fill out our membership form online.  Click HERE join online.

What do I get for my membership fees?

Members receive access to member only areas of the website, access to special interest sections, quarterly in-services which provide free Contact Hours, and most importantly, your fees support the board in our lobbying and legislative efforts that protect your CT OT practice. In essence, your fees may help protect your future employment.

How can I get involved?

We would love to have your input and involvement and there are many ways in which you can become more involved in the organization.

You can:

  • Attend, present or host our quarterly in-services.
  • Attend our board meetings each month.
  • Serve as a special interest section liaison.
  • Be a speaker or volunteer at a ConnOTA conference.
  • Take action to support OT within the state of CT through participation in the government affairs council.
  • Be a mentor or host a job shadow for a less experienced or future OT through our mentor and job shadow networks.

Who is on our current board?

The voting portion of our board consists of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Member for Government Affairs, and two coordinators for membership called 'members at large.' In addition, we have non-voting members, special interest section liaisons, and special task forces as well.

How can I access my continuing education credits (CEUs)?

To obtain your CEU transcript, please sign in to your ConnOTA account. After selecting the "Your CEUs" tab,  select the "export PDF" option on the right side of the site to view your CEU transcript as a PDF document. You can print your CEU transcript from this format.

Please be careful in following these directions as selecting the "download" option can be misleading. Our system utilizes the "download" option for members who have earned CEUs outside of ConnOTA and would like to view them on their CEU transcript. Only members can upload their CEU certificate that was earned outside of ConnOTA using the "Upload Certificate" feature and download it at a later time. This will allow members to track all of their CEUs (from both ConnOTA and other sources) through their ConnOTA profiles.
