Facilitator: Home Care CoP members

Bio/Background of the Speakers: ConnOTA community of practice members are OT practitioners who are actively working in home care, who have worked in home care, or are seeking to work in home care.  Members bring their expertise and skillset as well as questions and a strong desire to use social learning theory to learn, share, and pool knowledge.

Learning Objectives Attendees Should Achieve:

This hour-long presentation and discussion will allow participants to:

1. Learn…about caregiver training techniques and strategies

2. Share resources, knowledge, and experience related to caregiver training techniques and strategies members are familiar with

3. Pool…those resources and knowledge and make them easily available to other CoP members

Summary of Event:

1. We will start with an informal check-in and welcome new members

2. Members will then share effective strategies they employ to train informal and formal caregivers

3. We will continue to plan our topics and schedule for the summer months of June, July, and August.
